Nutrition
The phrase "you are what you eat" is an apt description
of the consequences of dietary habits particularly today because
of the vast variety of foods that we can choose from. We are
becoming more aware of the effects of certain foods on our
wellbeing and realising that the content of a diet is a very
individual matter. The ancient saying "one man's meat
is another man's poison" is more relevant today because
we can find out what "poisons" us, and what would
benefit us on a truly individual basis.
Nutrition is the scientific approach we can apply to understanding
how what we consume can affect our general wellbeing in a
positive or negative way.
For your body to give its best performance, you need to give
it the best nutrients. Most health experts agree that we all
need to eat less fat and sugar, and more fresh fruit and vegetables.
As well as vitamins, fruits and vegetables contain fibre and
antioxidants, which can be powerful agents in cancer prevention.
Food Intolerance
A significant number of people suffer from food intolerances.
While not life-threatening, these can cause uncomfortable
and inconvenient symptoms, ranging from indigestion and bloating
to headaches and fatigue. Dairy products (casein) and wheat
(gluten) are the most common culprits. Your re-aqua wellbeing
and beauty therapy salons and day spa can offer you advice
on modifying your diet to avoid them and we have a range of
practical nutritional publications. Always consult a nutritionist
before making major changes to your diet. Click
here for more information on food intolerance.
At re-aqua wellbeing and beauty therapy salons and day spas
we can also offer you a number of tests and wellbeing products
to support you in taking control of your wellbeing. These
tests have been chosen because they can indicate if you might
have a problem in a certain area, such as food intolerance,
cholesterol, homocysteine and stress. link to homocysteine

If you feel unwell or are concerned that you may have a medical
condition you should always consult your medical practitioner.
We encourage all our customers who have tests at our salons
to show their results to their doctor. Link to re-aqua wellbeing
